Summer Vacation

Matt and I went camping in Harvey at the start of August, after a crazy month where we hardly got to see each other, or enjoy one another's company. It was the perfect get away- no TV, internet, or cell reception- only my honey and I spending some well earned quality time!

Family Bonfire

Matts family has a massive bonfire every year to celebrate both his and his brothers birthday. It's always the family event of the year, and you make sure you go because it's so much fun.
Theres nowhere else I would rather be.

To Lepreau we go

Matt and I took a drive a little while back to Lepreau to go for a walk and take some photos. Had to share!

On with the Show

The whole experience with the Imperial is one I certainly won't forget any time soon.

From being featured in a New Brunswick wide arts paper called "HERE Magazine", to being a part of their high trafficed website, to being shown during some incredible events (such as an acoustic sitting from The Trews, Serena Ryder, a one man Star-Wars act, and so many more..!), and even being up and present during a beautiful wedding ceremony (talk about great last-minute gifts! ;) ), I've really had it made!

I was lucky enough to have friends come from out of the provinces to come and support me and see the show in person, and for that I truly am grateful. (Did I mention I have THE BEST friends in the whole universe?!)


Oh, and over 100 business cards have been picked up. Can't beat that!

Windstorm

Here in Saint John we had a massive windstorm a few days back. Power was knocked out (for some people, it stayed out for days), power lines went down, roofs blew off buildings..

Here's a shot of the first effect of the storm I saw. This transformer caught on fire and actually snapped in half!

Evelyn McIntyre: Beginnings

Imperial Theatre — January to March 2013

Imperial Theatre Exhibition Committee (ITEC) presents a wonderful photography collection up-and-coming photographer Evelyn McIntyre of Saint John, NB.

Titled Beginnings, this debut solo exhibition features a varied collection of beautifully captured portraits taken around the city, artful studio work and even rugged coastlines. Whatever the subject or setting though, it is evident that the young photographer has a keen eye for detail, and the ability to make her subjects comfortable in front of the camera—which comes from an obvious deep love for her art.

ARTIST BIO

Evelyn McIntyre is a 22-year-old photographer from Saint John, New Brunswick. As long as she can remember she has been passionate about the art of photography, and shows no signs of slowing down in her photographic and artistic growth.

Evelyn has received a diploma in Photography and Digital Imaging from Holland College. She has been fortunate enough to have the opportunities to travel, and has met and worked with multiple acclaimed photographers in both Canada and England. While she continues to grow as an artist and up-and-coming businesswoman, she remains incredibly grateful to all of the opportunities that have shaped her into the photographer and person she is today.

Just a quick note!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know I'm still alive! It's been more hectic then expected lately, but with all due luck, I'll have a proper blog post up by the end of the week. I've got about 3 begun that just need a little fine tuning.
